Our Story:

After poutine enthusiasts Lindsey and Francis sampled poutine all across Canada, they wanted to create a restaurant concept to reflect their own unique take on the Canadian dish. Their goal was to open a specialty shop where poutine would be a tasty canvas to showcase all kinds of craziness.

In 2011, La Poutine opened it’s doors and did just that. It wasn’t your typical poutine spot, It was a place that had options for everyone—purists, vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free folks.

At La Poutine we play around with ethnic ingredients and get inspired by food trends and pop culture from all over the world.

Since 2011, La Poutine has been repeatedly voted Best Poutine in YEG and 5th Best across Canada. C’est Bon!

Raising the Bar:

We believe a good poutine is only as good as the quality of it’s individual ingredients. That’s why we buy locally gown potatoes, hand-cut our fries, double fry ’em, use fresh produce, make our own sauces from scratch and come up with a ton of crazy combinations.
